Our Montessori Room is run by a qualified Montessori teacher. Children are usually around 3 years of age when joining our Montessori Room. We use the Maria Montessori method in conjunction with Síolta and Aistear.

The aim of our program is to develop the individual personality of the child socially and personally. Our curriculum goes through Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Cultural – all at an age-appropriate level.

As well as hard work we also encourage play (“imaginary”) using a large selection of toys and equipment. The equipment and specially designed exercises are used to develop the child’s growth.

By the time they are ready to move into “Big School” he/she should be a well-balanced, healthy happy and secure child with reading and writing skills in line with Primary school teaching.
